Who we are

Joey (they/she) brings eight years of experience in teaching and training acrobatics, having led well over a thousand workshops. Their depth of knowledge and coaching skill has been shaped through years of study, reflection, and development with teachers from around the world—drawing insight from circus to sports acro, acroyoga to neuropsychology, functional mobility, and more.

Joey’s life of movement began through back country snowboarding surfing and skateboarding to a high level, quickly setting the foundations of body awareness.

It was injury that led Joey first to yoga and acrobatics, which offered not only recovery, but beautiful realisations of the path ahead and her natural ability to support others, coach and teach.

The acrobatic element becoming a new platform for bodily expression and connection, and the somatic, breath work, yoga and therapeutic elements unlocking deeper body awareness, respect and care.

They find joy in sharing this experience with others, helping people build stronger connections with themselves and others—physically, socially, and mentally.

Joey’s acrobatic teaching focuses on making high level skills accessible to everyone without over-sacrificing detail. Expect technique-driven instruction, nervous system support, clear methodology, and a playful approach, all delivered in a supportive and positive environment.

Recently, she has finished five years of training in biomedical science, neuroscience and psychology. Working with complex brain injury and memory studies. This highly informs their teachings and they way a space is curated.
